Every prospective customer may refer to your website when they are looking for certain items. It means that even international customers may buy your products and services without any need of face-to-face interaction. This is what internet offers to all of its users.

International customers can access your products and services if only you receive long-distance methods of payment. Your customers can make long-distance payment if you accept credit card payment since it is impossible for the international buyers to come to your homeland to get the products and services. Accepting credit cards or debit cards is one of the simple methods since thousand millions of people use credit cards to simplify the process of business transaction. They are also available almost in every state and nation in the world. They can be used in millions of ATM machines worldwide.

There are two methods in which you can accept credit card payments from your long-distance customers; they include using your own merchant account and using a third party merchant. Using your own merchant account is simpler, but you need a bank that permits you to open a merchant account. Each country has its own requirements for this. Some countries only permit individuals with positive credit history to open a merchant account. But, some provide bad credit merchant account, for which the bank does not check your credit history before approving the application. Your own merchant account is a better choice since it impose lower rate of transaction fees compared to a third part merchant account.
